Experience one of Costa Rica’s most remarkable natural events as sea turtles emerge from the ocean to nest under the stars. This tour focuses on Olive Ridley and Black turtles, and on some nights, there is even a chance to see the impressive leatherback.
The tour is $99 per person and departs from both Playa Grande and Tamarindo. Guests meet the guide in Tamarindo or Playa Grande at 5:45 PM before heading to the nearby protected beaches around Playa Grande, one of the region’s most important nesting sites. These beaches are home to multiple species, including green turtles, the second-largest sea turtle in the world. The experience lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
Children of all ages are welcome to participate. Children under 8 years old can join the tour free of charge.
