If you want to spend a relaxing day out on the ocean without having to worry about the pace of a tour, you can always rent your own stand-up paddleboard. Though - it’s harder than you might think, so it’s recommended that you’ve used a SUP before renting one on your own. If you’re up for the challenge though, paddleboarding in the beautiful Potrero Bay is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon with friends exploring the islands right off of Playa Potrero; the Catalinas Islands. You may even see schools of tropical fish, or manta rays, or sea turtles!

Or just spend a few hours cruising around the coastline of Guanacaste, known as The Gold Coast because it consists of over 400 miles of pristine coastline. If you are not experienced at paddleboarding and still want to try, we do offer guided tours as well. We recommend bringing sunscreen to protect yourself.
