To sign up for a PADI Discovery Scuba Diving experience you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you do need to be in reasonably good physical health. You will learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive, under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. Get ready to: go over the scuba equipment you use to dive, discover how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear, find out what it’s like to breathe underwater, learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive, and mainly have fun swimming around and exploring.

Get out and adventure on the famous beaches in Costa Rica! This is the perfect way to explore some of the natural beauty of Guanacaste as you explore some idyllic beaches on the Gold Coast. Our experienced guides will give you safety instructions, then take you on a journey to some secluded beaches while you cruise on an ATV.   Next hop off your ATV and onto the Panga Boat where your captain will take you out on the open waters of the Pacific. The boat will have all the gear necessary to snorkel, or fish, and the captain will bring you up or down the Gold Coast to find the best snorkel spot for the day, juding on winds and sea conditions. The volcanic lava reefs in the area are filled with a multitude of reef fish and sea urchins, starfish and anemones, you might see turtles, rays and/or puffer fish. After a light snack and refreshments, you can fish around the outer islands off of Flamingo, or you might visit the Catalinas Islands as well.

Sportfishing in Guanacaste is very consistent as temperatures and weather patterns hold steady for most of the year. Guanacaste, Costa Rica is the western region of the country and is known as The Gold Coast for the 400 miles of prime beaches. Though it is also perfect for coastal fishing. Depending on the way and where your captain thinks the best fishing spots for the day are, you have the chance to go for big roosterfish, jacks, dorado, yellowfin, mahi-mahi, or cubera snapper. We can also take you offshore fishing for sailfish or marlin; the main two targets, but large dorado and yellowfin tuna are also to be found. If you want to bring the whole family and not everyone wants to fish, don’t worry they can spend the day snorkeling with schools of tropical fish, puffer-fish, maybe even sea turtles or manta ray! The adventure day also comes with complimentary fruits, water, and snacks. Remember to bring sunscreen, and a towel if you do want to get in the water.

In the midst of the rainforest exists one of the most photographed waterfalls in the world. “Los Teñideros” lies at the end of one of the most beautiful rivers of Costa Rica: the Rio Celeste. Los Teñideros is located where two streams of crystalline water merge into one. The mix between the minerals of the river and the minerals from the volcano crater create the famous celestial blue hue that gives the river its name when the sunlight reflects off of the high mineral content of the waters. It is within the composition of the water which contains the colloidal silica that is reflected off the sunlight and fool the human eye by returning an image of turquoise blue suspended in the water. The Rio Celeste waterfall has been recognized as one of the seven natural wonders of Costa Rica - a must see when in Guanacaste.
