Arenal Sloth Discovery Trip
There is nothing cuter than a baby three-toed sloth, especially when you are observing it in its natural habitat. See sloths and more on this guided tour. Explore the rainforests near Lake Arenal and the Arenal Volcano, where you can observe sloths up close and personal in their natural environment; there also is an additional area of 3 hectares of accessible trails to explore, great for all ages. During the daytime, the walking trail runs 600 meters in a circular shape and is accessible to everyone. Here you can appreciate the biodiversity of plants, amphibians, mammals, reptiles, and insects, among others. The ecological reserve additionally has another path of natural regeneration that culminates in a tree nursery. During this tour, you can see the butterfly farm and a natural lagoon. There is also a Maleku Indigenous Cultural House, a garden of medicinal plants and orchids, as well as world-class birdwatching.
